In the world of art and entertainment, Kaleidoscope's maiden venture as a Producer, has left a mark in the biosphere of Bengali cinema.This movie marked the debut of Indradeep Dasgupta, celebrated Bengali music director , as a Filmmaker. The film 'Kedara' is the celebration of loneliness, as well as the celebration of the journey of an unsuccessful man played by celebrated Filmmaker Kaushik Ganguly, Kedara is paradoxical and yet realistic , as one may see it. As a producer , Kaleidoscope has had a key role in backing the project which is out of the box and off the beaten track. We believed in the risks of our maiden venture by producing a film which may not have had the content for the masses, but eventually did strike a chord , especially among those who have an understanding of loneliness. BISMILLAH
Kaleidoscope's solo produced the critically acclaimed Bengali multi-starrer feature film, 'Bismillah', directed by Indradeep Dasgupta, was released in August 2022. Playing Shehnai is his family tradition and playing flute is his love, Bismillah resembles Krishna and finds his sole-mate Radha and loses her. The performances of Riddhi, Subhashree, Kaushik Ganguly, Bidipta and the entire cast have mesmerized the audience. This is a musical spectacle featuring mega stars and melodious voices of leading singers of the Indian Film Industry like Arijit Singh, Shreya Ghosal, Kaushiki Chakraborty and more.
PUTUL NACHER ITIKOTHA
Kaleidoscope's next Bengali multi-starrer feature film “Putul Nacher Itikotha”, slated to be released in 2024, is adopted from the novel of the same name,authored by Sri. Manik Bandopadhyay. The feature film depicts the sensitive political situation of the post war period; Putul Nacher Itikatha is not the story of a single individual who is a victim of a contemporary situation, rather it underlines the condition of different individuals, portraying the variety of life in rural Bengal.
Short Film - COLD FIRE
Kaleidoscope's big budget Short film titled 'Cold Fire' directed by National Award winning actor Riddhi Sen (Debutant Director) is a science fiction movie based on Nabarun Bhattacharya's story on consumerism. Starring Kaushik Sen, Somak Ghosh and other renowned actors , it is has been choreographed by talented cinematographer Tiyash Sen . The movie has acclaimed several domestic and international awards in Short Film Category
